Mountains & Oceans of Huizhou: Double Moon Bay, Turtle Sanctuary & Mount Luofu
Tropic of Cancer Biosphere · Daxingshan Panoramas, Coastal Cliff Boardwalks & Hakka Gastronomy
Huizhou offers the GBA’s most dramatic coastal geography and highest sacred peaks. Take in the twin-bay phenomenon from Mount Daxingshan, walk cliffside boardwalks at Turtle Bay, and ascend Taoist Mount Luofu.
Located in the eastern GBA, Huizhou is an ecological treasure bounded by the South China Sea and Mount Luofu. It offers an exhilarating contrast between azure shores and ancient misty peaks.
Double Moon Bay: Dual Marine Wonder
From the crest of Mount Daxingshan, two crescent-shaped sandy bays meet back-to-back: the left bay calm as glass, while the right churns with crashing ocean rollers.
Turtle Bay: Jelly-Blue Waters
As mainland China’s sole natural sea turtle nesting reserve, Turtle Bay features elevated timber boardwalks hugging sea cliffs above crystalline waters.
Driving: Guanghui Expressway Bay Bridge directly to Huidong. Rail: High-speed rail to Huidong Station, then scenic coastal coach (45m).
Take the summit electric shuttle to Daxingshan as the peak road is extremely narrow; reserve Turtle Bay entry in advance.
